The Royal Father of the Day, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, led the session with a firm message on unity and development.
A key highlight of the gathering was the monarch’s public endorsement of Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, the current Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, for a second term.
“Our Chairman has demonstrated uncommon leadership and commitment to the development of Eredo,” said the Alara. “From infrastructure to social welfare, his achievements speak for themselves. It is only right that he is supported to continue the good work.”
The endorsement drew applause from attendees, many of whom echoed the monarch’s sentiments. Community members described Hon. Akinloye as a responsive leader who has maintained strong ties with the grassroots since assuming office.
In his remarks, Hon. Akinloye expressed gratitude to the royal fathers and community members for the confidence reposed in him.
“I am truly honored by this endorsement,” he said. “It strengthens my resolve to serve better and deepen the gains we’ve made together. This is a call to do more, and I will not take it lightly.”
The stakeholders meeting also served as a platform to emphasize peaceful elections, with religious clerics and civil society voices urging residents to shun violence and remain law-abiding during the election period.
