The Anambra State Government has dismissed rumors claiming it authorized the arrest of women not wearing bras and pants.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a public statement, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, refuted the circulating announcement made by a town crier in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area.

He confirmed that the information did not come from the state government and was unrelated to the Agunechemba Security outfit.
Opara clarified that the government is not concerned with such trivial matters, as they have no legal foundation.
He stressed that the government’s primary focus is tackling criminal activities and maintaining law and order, rather than regulating citizens’ choices of undergarments.
