Addressing the press after the meeting, Atiku emphasized that his visit was not related to politics or the upcoming elections.

“I am here on a courtesy call. I am not here to talk politics.
“I was not in Abeokuta to see Obasanjo because of 2027,” he stated, describing the meeting as purely “a courtesy visit”.
