The Golden Ten of Lagos (G.10), a non-governmental organization dedicated to community development, marked its fourth anniversary with an outreach program, distributing educational materials, food items, and financial aid to those in need across Eredo LCDA.
Ekohotblog reports that the event, held at Ijebu-Ode Road, Odomola, brought together dignitaries, education stakeholders, and community leaders, all praising the organization’s efforts in supporting education and poverty alleviation.

While delivering the anniversary lecture, Comrade Olumuyiwa Ogunlari from Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Epe Campus, spoke on “The Role of Youths Towards Community Development.”
He encouraged young people to remain focused and determined, emphasizing the importance of skill acquisition, education, and active participation in societal growth.
“From age 16 to 49, this is the prime time to make an impact,” Ogunlari said. “Youth must embrace responsibility and strive to be change-makers in their communities.
The likes of Sir Michael Otedola and Hon. Bola Gbabijo worked hard in their youth, and today, their contributions to education and governance are still visible.”

He also urged G.10 to expand its focus on skills acquisition and healthcare programs while advocating against early pregnancy, a growing concern among young girls in Epe.
Addressing the ongoing electricity challenge in the division, he called on the organization to intensify efforts in ensuring power restoration.
“G.10, your mission—’Light up Lagos’—is commendable. Keep pushing for positive change, and may God bless the efforts of our leaders in solving these challenges,” he added.
Among those who graced the occasion were the Matron of G.10, Chief (Mrs.) Arike Adebowale, the B.O.T Chairman and Apesin 1 of Epe Land, Hon. Bola Gbabijo, Eze Ndigbo of Epe Division, Dr. Ferdinand Aguneke, Chairman of George Group of Companies, Chief Dr. Oladehinde George, CEO of Durim Paints, Alhaja Odulate Bilikis Adenike, and Hon. Sulaimon Adebola, a councilor in Eredo LCDA Legislative House.
Speaking on behalf of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Hon. Idowu Aliu Shittu, represented by Mr. Laguda Sikiru Babatunde, commended G.10’s contributions to education and community development.
He called on well-meaning individuals to support the organization’s initiatives.
The Chairman of G.10, Comrade Adekoya Idris Adebambo, expressed gratitude to all supporters and made an appeal for an operational vehicle to facilitate the organization’s outreach programs.
