Tragedy struck in Epe on Sunday when a plumber slumped and died while carrying out a repair job at the residence of a popular pepper soup seller, whose shop is located at Ita-Opo.
Eko Hot Blog reports that according to residents, the plumber had been invited to fix a plumbing fault but soon after complained of being unusually tired. He decided to take a rest, but within minutes, he collapsed and could not be revived.

One eyewitness said, “At first, we thought he was only resting, but when people checked on him, he wasn’t responding. It was shocking and very scary.”
Another community member recounted, “People rushed to revive him, poured water on him, and called for help, but sadly, it was too late.”
The incident has left the homeowner devastated. The woman, who recently lost her husband, was said to have only just begun to recover from weeks of mourning when this fresh tragedy occurred in her home.
A sympathizer remarked, “This woman has suffered too much in such a short time.
First, she lost her husband, and now this has happened in her house. She needs all the prayers and support she can get.”
The sudden death has raised concerns within the Epe community about unexpected health emergencies, with many residents emphasizing the importance of regular medical check-ups, especially for artisans and daily wage workers.
