According to him, it signals a renewed national determination to tackle the security issues that have long threatened the country’s stability.
Oladejo noted that Musa assumes the role with broad public trust, extensive field experience, and a distinguished record managing some of the nation’s most challenging security operations.

“General Musa enters this office with a reputation Nigerians recognize built on years of service and responsibility. They know his capacity, and they know what they expect from him,” he said.
The APC spokesman also highlighted the party’s appreciation for Musa’s strong assurances and commitment to meeting the significant demands of his new position.
He added that the minister has called for unity and cooperation from citizens, security agencies, local communities, and institutions, stressing that safeguarding the nation requires collective effort. “No defence minister, regardless of expertise, can succeed without the full backing of the country,” Oladejo emphasized.

He further stated that the party anticipates Musa will focus on strengthening and upgrading the military, improving intelligence collaboration, rebuilding trust in security institutions, and leading strategic operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, criminal groups, and internal saboteurs.
Commending President Bola Tinubu, Oladejo said the appointment reflects the president’s firm resolve and political courage to confront insecurity nationwide.
According to him, “Those who thrive on disorder, those who turn insecurity into politics, and those who undermine security efforts from within must realize that a new, determined leader is now in charge at the Defence Headquarters.”
