Rice had pulled out of international duty with England during the last break, while Gabriel was sidelined after picking up a knee issue in Arsenal’s FA Cup loss to Southampton.
Both players trained at the club’s London Colney base as the team stepped up preparations for Tuesday’s first-leg encounter in Lisbon.
There was also positive news with Leandro Trossard taking part in the session, though Bukayo Saka was still unavailable after leaving England camp early.
