EKO HOT BLOG reports that a viral video on social media showed the corps member being stripped and beaten by armed operatives while crying and pleading for mercy.
The incident reportedly happened at a corps members’ lodge in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area, during a raid allegedly targeted at suspected internet fraudsters.
Reacting to the video, Mrs Soludo described the act as disturbing, inhumane and unjustifiable. She insisted that such degrading treatment has no place in Anambra and called for a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
In her statement, she said, “I have seen the viral video of the sad incident reported to have occurred in Oba, Idemili South LGA, involving men of Agunechemba security formation and a female corps member serving in Anambra State.
There is no justification whatsoever for such ugly and humiliating abuse. Such a demeaning approach to law and order does not in any manner reflect our identity as a hospitable and peaceful people. It also does not represent the humane philosophy of our administration.”
She emphasized that law enforcement and security personnel must always act within rules of engagement that uphold civility, respect and human dignity. Mrs Soludo urged the relevant authorities to take decisive action to ensure justice and prevent a recurrence.
“Anambra’s image is priceless. We must guard it jealously,” she added.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage online, with many Nigerians demanding accountability for the treatment of the corps member. Authorities are yet to release an official update on the outcome of investigations.
