In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Anambra State gubernatorial election scheduled for November 2025, Nigerian businessman and politician Nicholas Ukachukwu has secured a decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
Eko Hot Blog reports that with his triumph over his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo, Ukachukwu has positioned himself as a key contender against the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

As the APC seeks to wrestle control of Anambra State from APGA, Ukachukwu’s resounding win signifies a critical step forward for the party.
Speaking in the aftermath of his victory, Ukachukwu voiced his readiness and determination to deliver Anambra State to the APC.
He said, “We shall deliver Anambra to the APC.
One thing I want to say here nobody has won the governorship of Anambra without my support; it has never happened before.
I have been playing godfatherism, but now I want to be the father of the father, no more godfather.”
