- MultiChoice and the organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality television show have announced the return of physical, in-person auditions for the upcoming eleventh season, moving away from the virtual formats of recent years.
- The registration portal opened on Saturday, May 16, and will officially close on May 20, 2026, or earlier if the maximum applicant quota is filled, providing interested youth a strict five-day application window.
- Selected candidates who complete the free registration process will be invited to attend the physical screening exercises scheduled to hold concurrently from May 22 to May 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
The anticipation for Africa’s biggest reality television franchise reached a new peak on Saturday evening following an official statement released via the show’s digital handles.
Eko Hot Blog reports that breaking away from the entirely online and hybrid video submission methods utilized in recent editions, the organizers confirmed that Big Brother Naija Season 11 will return to its roots with physical auditions.

According to the production team, the change back to real-life interactions is designed to enhance the initial talent scouting process, allowing the judges to evaluate the raw energy, charisma, and personalities of potential housemates firsthand before they enter the famous house.
The criteria for participation remain strictly defined, with the organizers emphasizing that the audition process is entirely free of charge to prevent hopeful applicants from falling prey to third-party employment scams.
Prospective housemates must be Nigerian citizens, aged 21 or older by the time the show commences, and must possess a valid means of national identification.

Due to logistical constraints and venue capacities across the designated regional hubs, the entry portal will automatically shut down as soon as the maximum application ceiling is reached, prompting organizers to urge early registration.
Successfully pre-screened applicants will receive direct notifications scheduling them for face-to-face interviews at secure locations within Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu over a three-day weekend.
This season’s rollout follows the massive commercial success of Season 10, which concluded on October 5, 2025, and saw Opeyemi “Imisi” Ayanwale walk away with the multi-million Naira grand prize after outlasting 28 other contestants.
With the physical audition dates now set, entertainment analysts expect a massive surge of youth mobility into the three selected capital cities as thousands look to secure a spot in the upcoming season.
