President Bola Tinubu has strongly denounced the recent wave of violence in Plateau and Kaduna states, describing the attacks as cruel and unacceptable.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the incidents, which occurred in Angwan Rukuba and Kahir, reportedly left several people dead, while others, including wedding guests, were abducted by gunmen.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President assured citizens that those responsible would be identified and prosecuted.

He condemned the attackers for targeting vulnerable individuals under the cover of darkness, noting that such acts are aimed not only at causing immediate harm but also at inciting further violence and retaliation within affected communities.
The President directed security agencies to intensify operations to track down the perpetrators and prevent further attacks.
He also urged authorities to address the spread of false or misleading information that could worsen tensions, warning against narratives that attempt to frame the incidents along religious lines.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to restoring peace, Tinubu called on security operatives to be more proactive by acting on intelligence to prevent future occurrences.
He also stressed the urgency of rescuing those still held captive following the attack in Kahir.

The President commended the efforts of Caleb Mutfwang and Uba Sani for their roles in managing the crises and supporting ongoing rescue operations.
He extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished those injured a quick recovery, while assuring Nigerians that the federal government is taking steps to strengthen security capabilities nationwide.
According to him, plans are underway to equip security agencies with advanced tools to improve real-time tracking and response to criminal activities across the country.
