A devastating incident occurred in Mutum-Biyu town, Taraba State, when the UMCN church building collapsed during a heavy rainfall accompanied by a powerful windstorm.

According to eyewitnesses, the worshippers were inside the church on Sunday when the building caved in.
Although no fatalities were reported, several individuals were injured in the event, prompting a swift response from local authorities and medical personnel. Those in need of immediate care were quickly transported to the Mutumbiyu Refferal Hospital
Some victims with fractures were taken to a local bone setter in the town for further care.
Alhaji Baffa Wanzami, the local bone setter, confirmed that three injured worshippers, including a girl, were brought to him with fractures in their arms and legs.
“It is very sad that some worshipers were injured while others got fractures when the church they were conducting service collapsed. Some of those that got fractures including a little girl were brought to me and l set their fractured bones,” Wanzami said.
