Danjuma, who was represented by two defence counsels, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Earlier, the prosecuting counsel, Alexander Agbo, told the court that the defendant allegedly defiled two female minors aged 8 and 10 years respectively.
According to the prosecutor, the alleged offence is punishable under Section 1(1) and (2) of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015.

Following the defendant’s plea, Agbo urged the court to grant a remand order pending the hearing and determination of the case.
Justice Adamu subsequently granted the application and ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Facility.
The case was adjourned till September 21, 2026, for trial.
