The court granted custody of the couple’s two children, aged 8 and 3, to Olajumoke, while also directing the respondent to take responsibility for the children’s education, feeding and overall welfare.
The court further restrained Femi Ogunsola from harassing, threatening or interfering in the private life of his estranged wife.
Speaking before the court, Olajumoke, who resides in the Olomi-Olunde area of Ibadan, narrated that their relationship began in South Africa, where both of them were struggling to make a living before she became pregnant for him.
According to her, things later changed after their wedding on January 4, 2015, as her husband allegedly became irresponsible and failed to cater adequately for the family.

She accused him of laziness, frequent late-night outings, smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, adding that his attitude eventually forced her to leave the marriage on September 21, 2021.
Olajumoke appealed to the court to grant her custody of the children and requested that her estranged husband provide N50,000 monthly for their upkeep.
However, the respondent was absent in court and did not present any defence during the hearing.
The court bailiff informed the court that hearing notices had been served on him several times, including through substituted service via WhatsApp, but he failed to appear.
