In a statement issued by its management, the company explained that only authorised products are permitted on trucks belonging to its various subsidiaries. It warned that any vehicle found carrying unapproved cargo would be treated as operating illegally.
Under the company’s transport policy, Dangote Cement trucks are designated for cement, clinker, coal, limestone and high-grade gypsum.

Trucks owned by Dangote Sugar Refinery are restricted to sugar products, while NASCON Allied Industries vehicles are approved only for Dangote Salt and DanQ Seasoning products.
The statement added that Dangote Packaging trucks are assigned to move packaging materials, Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals vehicles are authorised for polypropylene products, and Dangote Fertiliser Limited trucks are meant exclusively for transporting urea fertiliser.
According to the company, anyone whose information results in the arrest of suspects or the recovery of illegally transported goods will receive the ₦500,000 reward after verification.
Dangote warned that drivers and owners of unauthorised cargo conveyed in its trucks could face prosecution under Nigerian law. It also noted that goods recovered during enforcement operations may be seized by the relevant authorities.
The company disclosed that security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, have been empowered to stop and arrest anyone found using Dangote trucks for unauthorised commercial haulage.
To assist investigations, members of the public are encouraged to provide useful details such as the truck’s registration number, cab number, colour, current location and the nature of the goods being transported. Where possible, photographs of the vehicle and its cargo should also accompany reports.

Dedicated telephone lines have been made available across the company’s operations, including the Obajana, Okpella and Gboko plants, to receive reports from the public.
Dangote Industries said the campaign is designed to strengthen accountability within its logistics system, safeguard its corporate identity and discourage fraudulent activities involving its vehicles.
The company urged Nigerians to support the initiative by reporting suspicious activities, stressing that public cooperation is vital to protecting legitimate business operations and ensuring offenders are identified and prosecuted.
