In a public statement, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, recognized President Bola Tinubu as the driving force and visionary behind the landmark Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex.

Dangote emphasized that the refinery project was, in many ways, Tinubu’s brainchild, highlighting the President’s role in establishing the Lekki Free Trade Zone, where the industrial complex is located.
According to Dangote, President Tinubu is now witnessing the tangible fruits of his vision, which was initially conceived during his tenure as Governor of Lagos.
“It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Your Excellency on your visit to the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex and to commission this concrete road and other roads which you graciously approved.
“I must emphasise that the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex is in many ways your brainchild.
“The Lekki Free Trade Zone, the site of this industrial complex, was established during your tenure as Governor of Lagos, and I think, Your Excellency, today, you are witnessing tangible fruits of that vision,” Dangote said.

He described Tinubu as a visionary leader.
“I can tell you for a fact that what you have seen today is nothing. We have just started,” he said.
Africa’s wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote, commended Tinubu’s transformative Naira for Crude Policy, stating that it stands as a testament to the administration’s dedication to economic recovery and national sovereignty.
He also praised the Nigeria First Policy, designed to reduce reliance on foreign goods and services, emphasizing local investment, business operations, and consumption habits to bolster Nigeria’s economy.
The Nigeria First Policy aims to instill confidence in Nigerian products, promote self-belief, and boost national pride by prioritizing local enterprises.
