Job Purpose
The Data Engineer will be responsible for managing workload priorities in alignment with the data team and business needs. The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data utilization and drive business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI systems and technologies (data warehouses, data lakes, dashboards, reports, and data models) using SQL, Python, and other tools.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and refine data modelling, data pipelines, and change management standards.
- Optimize and enhance the performance, scalability, and security of BI systems.
- Implement data observability processes to monitor data quality and system health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BI and data-related issues.
- Document and communicate best practices, standards, and processes for BI.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in BI and data analytics.
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with data security policies during system development.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in data engineering, computer science, or related fields.
