He emphasized that identifying and exposing these local informants is critical to breaking the back of the kidnapping industry.
The minister made these declarations shortly after being honored with the Southern Kaduna Grand Commander award during the 2026 Southern Kaduna Festival.
Acknowledging that multiple citizens are still trapped in various kidnappers’ dens, Musa pledged that the federal government remains fully committed to their rescue.
He maintained that the Armed Forces of Nigeria are constantly working to safeguard the country’s territorial integrity and create a secure environment.

However, he stressed that total victory requires immediate and uncompromised community collaboration through the sharing of timely information with security agencies.
Musa’s comments coincide with heightened anxieties regarding bold, coordinated attacks on educational institutions.
Notably, his assurance follows a viral plea from Folawe Alamu, the abducted Vice Principal of Community Grammar School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oyo State, who begged the government to negotiate her release.
Her appeal comes 15 days after gunmen raided schools in the Ogbomoso axis, seizing both teachers and pupils. Commenting on his community honor, Gen Musa expressed deep appreciation to his kinsmen, noting that recognition from the home that nurtured his values carries a profound meaning for himself and his family.
