The projects include a 48-unit accommodation block for junior ratings and 32 family housing units arranged in 16 blocks. Additionally, the Dolphin Golf Club House was unveiled to boost recreational and social well-being among personnel.
Vice Admiral Abbas said the projects underscore the Navy’s renewed commitment to completing viable projects and improving welfare structures for its personnel.
“The 48-unit block had been abandoned for over five years before completion. Today, it stands as a symbol of our commitment to recovering dormant investments,” he stated.
He further noted that other abandoned projects across various commands are under review for completion, stressing that the initiatives reflect the Navy’s growth into a modern force with improved operational readiness and welfare provisions.
The CNS also urged personnel to exercise prudence in the use of electricity and other public assets, emphasizing that responsible management ensures sustainability of the facilities.

Vice Admiral Abbas commended President Bola Tinubu for his support of naval development and lauded the contractors and engineers responsible for delivering the projects. He concluded that the new housing and recreational facilities would significantly boost morale and overall operational efficiency.
