What has happened so far in the Diddy trial verdict?
On Tuesday (local time), Judge Arun Subramanian informed the court that the jury had reached a verdict on four out of five charges against Diddy: two counts of sex trafficking and two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.
However, the jury remained divided on the most serious charge — racketeering conspiracy.

Some jurors remained firmly divided, holding “unpersuadable opinions on both sides,” according to the Sydney Morning Herald. Because of this disagreement, the judge has instructed the jury to continue deliberating and try to reach a final decision. Discussions will resume at 9 a.m. New York time (11 p.m. AEST) on Wednesday.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to all charges. If convicted of sex trafficking or racketeering, he could face life in prison.
Why is there only a partial verdict in the Diddy case?
A partial verdict means the jury has reached a decision on some charges, but not all. This often happens when certain charges are more complex or when the jurors can’t come to a consensus.
In this case, the racketeering conspiracy charge is particularly challenging. The jury must determine whether Combs was leading a criminal organization and whether he and his team committed illegal acts to help him abuse his partners.

The jury sent a note to the judge stating they were unable to agree, prompting the judge to ask them to continue deliberating.
What’s been happening in the Diddy trial?
The trial has lasted seven weeks and featured intense and emotional testimony. Two of Combs’ former partners, including singer Cassie Ventura, accused him of abuse and said he forced them to take part in “freak offs” — drug-fueled sex parties involving paid escorts while Combs watched.
The jury was shown hotel security footage from 2016 that captured Combs kicking and dragging Ventura in a hallway.
Prosecutors argue that Combs used violence, intimidation, and money to control his partners, and that his staff played a role by arranging hotel rooms and supplying drugs — actions they claim amount to a criminal conspiracy.
Combs’ legal team admits he was violent at times but insists all other behavior was consensual.
They claim the women participated voluntarily to please Combs and argue the case is an unfair attempt to criminalize his private life.

In his closing statement, defense attorney Marc Agnifilo said, “If he was charged with domestic violence, we wouldn’t all be here. He did not do the things he’s charged with.”
What’s next in the Diddy case?
The jury will continue deliberating on the racketeering conspiracy charge. If they still can’t reach a unanimous decision, the judge may accept the partial verdict and declare a mistrial for that specific count.
