The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe Division held a mega rally at the Recreation Centre, Epe, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to mobilize massive support for its candidates ahead of the forthcoming local government elections scheduled for Saturday, July 12.
Ekohotblog reports that the political gathering brought together APC leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from the three councils that make up Epe Division, Epe Local Government Area, Eredo LCDA, and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, with the objective of reaffirming the party’s grassroots dominance in the region.

Present at the rally were notable figures including the party’s Apex Leader in Epe Division, Alhaji Shakirudeen Akanni Seriki (Bamu); former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji;
Hon. Wale Raji, member representing Epe Federal Constituency; Hon. Abiodun Tobun and Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly; Barrister Saidat Olayinka Oladunjoye, Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission; and APC State Vice-Chairman (Lagos East), Yeye Olayinka Olusanya and other notable political Figures.
Rt. Hon. Ikuforiji, while addressing the crowd, emphasized the need for massive voter turnout.
“We must all come out and vote for all candidates of APC. We can all testify that Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, and Akogun Wale Raji-Anomo have changed the narratives of their respective councils with unprecedented developmental projects and services. That is the more reason we must re-elect them,” he said.
He cautioned against complacency, urging members to treat the local polls with the seriousness of a general election.
“Don’t assume victory is automatic. We must show our political strength with massive voter turnout.
That’s how we prepare the ground for the 2027 general elections and reaffirm our loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Hon. Wale Raji echoed similar sentiments, noting that the performance of the incumbent chairmen deserves electoral reward.
“Our chairmen have done well. Let’s give them another chance to do more. Epe has no opposition; APC remains the people’s party.”
Barrister Oladunjoye encouraged party members to canvass for votes in their communities, emphasizing that the achievements of the current administration must be sustained through continuity.
Yeye Olayinka Olusanya also lent her voice, saying, “If you go to their various local governments, you will see the good work they have done. I assure you, they will do even more in their second term.”
