Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a ₦65 reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
With this adjustment, the price will drop from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre, effective Thursday, February 27, 2025.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that this is the second price reduction in February 2025, following an earlier ₦60 decrease earlier in the month.

According to the refinery’s management, this price cut aims to provide financial relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season.

Following the reduction, petrol will be available at different prices across partner retail outlets. At MRS Holdings stations, the new rates will be:
₦860 per litre in Lagos
₦870 per litre in the South-West
₦880 per litre in the North
₦890 per litre in the South-South and South-East

In December 2024, the refinery had also slashed the price of PMS by ₦70.50, lowering it from ₦970 to ₦899.50 per litre.
