Diego Costa To Reunite With Mourinho In January

North London Club, Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly planning a January bid for the signature of former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.

Diego Costa recently had his contract cancelled 6 months in advance with the Spanish club, as the attacker wanted to go elsewhere for a more regular play time.

Tottenham Hotspurs Manager, Jose Mourinho is a fan of Costa along with the Italian side Napoli, with the two clubs eager to reinforce their offensive options, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

According to reports,  Napoli plan to sell attackers Arkadiusz Milik and former Spurs man, Fernando Llorente next month and so will bid on Costa as a replacement, but Tottenham are also ready to contact Costa’s representatives for a potential move.

The cancellation Costa’s contract by Atleti is expected to expedite the process should there be an agreement for the attacker, who can’t wait to get back to the Premier League.

The Spaniard that spent 4 years at Chelsea between 2014 and 2018, scoring 58 goals in 120 games for the club before returning to Atletico in 2018, where he scored only 12 times in La Liga in three years.
