The Lagos State Police Command has accused a notorious murder and robbery suspect, Wasiu Akinwande, also known as Olori Eso, of being responsible for the killings of 23-year-old Ramadan and 30-year-old Bolakale, who were brutally murdered on July 31, 2024, in the Mushin area of Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Akinwande has also been linked to the killing of nine-year-old Aminat, which occurred on December 9, 2010, in the Fadeyi area of the state.

According to the police, the suspect is connected to multiple other deaths resulting from his violent activities. Investigations are ongoing, and more details will be released to the public in due course.
Commissioner of Police, Jimoh Olohundare, revealed that Akinwande voluntarily confessed to the series of killings and admitted to owning nine automatic firearms that were recovered during his arrest.
The commissioner added that more witnesses are expected to come forward. The suspect is currently in custody, and all recovered items remain with the police. A remand order has been secured from the court to allow for a thorough investigation and legal proceedings.
In a related development, the police command has made notable progress in tackling sexual and gender-based violence, with the arrest of 52 suspects. Of these, 44 have been charged in court, while eight remain under investigation.
The arrests include 28 for defilement, four for sexual assault by penetration, and others for offenses such as assault, grievous harm, indecent treatment of a child, abduction, child trafficking, child stealing, neglect, denial of access, and domestic violence.
The commissioner reaffirmed the Lagos State Police Command’s dedication to ensuring a safe and crime-free society where law-abiding citizens can live without fear.
He said, “To the criminal elements lurking within or outside Lagos State, your time is up. Lagos State will not be a haven for your operations. The command will continue to enhance crime surveillance, strengthening our intelligence throughout the state, tightening our intelligence networks, and utilising technological tools to detect, deter, and dismantle all forms of crime and criminality.
“To the good people of Lagos, we remain grateful for your continued support, vigilance, and collaboration. Your role in volunteering credible information is important to our success in crime fighting. Together, we will continue to build a safer, more secure Lagos State for all.”
