EKO HOT BLOG reports that Operatives apprehended Innocent Chukwuma in Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, following posts on his X account “@TheAgroman” in which he openly called for a coup and appealed to Nigerians to back military action. In one post he wrote, “A coup in Nigeria is needed. Dispose of APC, suspend the Nigerian Government, and join the AES. It will happen eventually. Nigerians, the military needs your support now. Only them can save this country.”
Security sources say Chukwuma told investigators that the president had “sold this country to the West” and that only the military could “reset” national institutions.
DSS officials confirmed the arrest and said the suspect is cooperating with investigators as enquiries continue. Authorities did not disclose whether any charges have been filed, but legal and security experts note that public calls for the forcible removal of a constitutional government can attract criminal investigation under sections of Nigeria’s criminal and national security laws.
The arrest comes amid heightened sensitivity across security agencies to online content that seeks to incite violence or undermine democratic order. The service has in recent years stepped up monitoring of social media for posts it regards as threats to national stability.

Officials urge the public to report posts that promote violence and to pursue lawful channels for political expression. The matter remains under investigation and further statements are expected from the service.
