EFCC Declares Businesswoman Aisha Achimugu Wanted for Alleged Money Laundering

- EFCC obtained an arrest warrant and officially declared Aisha Achimugu a wanted individual
- EFCC initially summoned Achimugu to appear at its Port Harcourt office in Rivers State on March 5, in relation to alleged money laundering and a high-profile investment scam.
- Achimugu reportedly left Nigeria on either Thursday, March 6, or Friday, March 7.
In a recent development, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared well-known businesswoman and socialite Aisha Achimugu wanted for her alleged involvement in criminal conspiracy and money laundering.
Eko Hot Blog reports that EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale shared this information in a press statement on the agency’s official handle.

The anti-graft agency initially summoned Achimugu to appear at its Port Harcourt office in Rivers State on March 5, in relation to alleged money laundering and a high-profile investment scam.
However, instead of reporting to the EFCC office as requested, Achimugu reportedly left Nigeria on either Thursday, March 6, or Friday, March 7.
In response to her departure from the country, the EFCC obtained an arrest warrant and officially declared Aisha Achimugu a wanted individual
The circular reads, “The public is hereby notified that Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, whose photograph appears above is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering.
“Achimugu, 51, is an indigene of Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State and her last known address is 6C, Rudolf Close, Maitama, Abuja.
