According to Osiyemi, the 170-kilometre cycling event, organised by Dynastar Sport and Education Foundation, will feature two race routes, covering major corridors within the Lekki–Epe axis and beyond.
He explained that the 70km route will start from Eko Atlantic, pass through Ahmadu Bello Way, Coastal Road, Okun-Ajah Community Road, Ogombo Road, Abraham Adesanya Junction, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Sangotedo, and return to Eko Atlantic as the finishing point.

Osiyemi noted that traffic along all adjoining roads, junctions and intersections within the race corridors will be managed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) in collaboration with other security agencies to prevent unauthorised access during the event.

He added that roads along the routes will remain partially open, advising motorists to plan their movements ahead, cooperate with traffic officials and strictly adhere to all directives.
“These measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of participants and other road users throughout the duration of the event,” the commissioner said.
The Lagos Gran Fondo “Eko 170” is a mass-participation cycling race designed to promote sports tourism, healthy living and sustainable mobility, while also showcasing Lagos’ growing infrastructure, coastal scenery and vibrant culture.
