Sunday Igboho has said his proposed Iru Ekun Security Network is still awaiting Federal Government approval before commencing operations aimed at addressing insecurity and flushing out criminal elements from forests across the South West.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Yoruba Nation activist, whose real name is Sunday Adeyemo, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday in Ibadan, noting that all documentation and registration requirements for the security outfit had already been submitted.

He said the organisation was established to support efforts against kidnappers, bandits and other criminal groups, particularly in rural communities affected by insecurity.
According to him, the outfit is ready to collaborate with security agencies including the police, the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps once approval is granted.

Igboho also pledged compliance with Executive Order 001 of 2026 signed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to regulate private security organisations and community based security groups in the state.
