The Epe Division Councilors Forum, led by Hon. Hassan Mustapha Owolabi, held its first annual get-together on Sunday, January 26, 2024.
Ekohotblog reports that the event took place at the Legislative Building in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and brought together all 31 councilors from Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ikosi-Ejinrin, Lekki, and Eredo.
Several dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo; Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LG, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa; and Vice Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Hon. Remilekun Alogba, attended the event.
In his opening speech, Hon. Hassan Mustapha, Chairman of the Forum, thanked Almighty Allah for a successful year and praised the councilors for their hard work. “I am proud of how much you have achieved in your wards.
I also appreciate the support of our LG and LCDA Chairmen, who have helped make progress possible,” he said.
Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo commended the councilors for their teamwork and dedication. “You have shown great unity and commitment in your work.
The efforts of your spouses in supporting you should also be recognized.
Together, we will continue to deliver good governance to our people,” he said.
Host Chairman, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, talked about the importance of working together.
“The partnership between the councilors and the LG/LCDA Chairmen has brought development to our communities.
Let’s keep this teamwork going for even greater results,” he said.
Other speakers, like Hon. Remilekun Alogba and Hon. Gbenga Balogun, encouraged the councilors to stay focused and keep learning.
“Always aim to do your best and stay professional in your duties. Your commitment will make a big difference in the lives of your people,” Alogba said.
Hon. Musediku Monsuru appreciated everyone for making the event a success.
“Today’s gathering has brought us closer and strengthened our bond. Let’s continue to work together to achieve more,” he said.
The get-together was a memorable occasion that celebrated teamwork and encouraged the councilors to keep making positive changes in their communities.
