The screening process and enrollment are scheduled to take place on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Epe Primary Health Care Center.
Hon. Surah Animashaun expressed her deep commitment to improving women’s access to affordable healthcare.
“No woman should suffer in silence or poverty because of a condition that is both treatable and manageable,” she said.
“This partnership with Pearls Specialist Foundation is a bold step toward creating a healthier, stronger community.”
The initiative comes at a time when access to specialized care remains financially out of reach for many women in rural and semi-urban areas.
Representatives from Pearls Specialist Foundation commended the local government’s proactive approach.
“We are proud to collaborate with a visionary administration that puts the health of its women at the forefront,” said Dr. Teniola Pearls, lead consultant with the foundation.
“This program will not only save lives but also restore hope and dignity to countless families.”
Participants will be medically screened to assess the severity of their condition and financial status.
