“First of all let us start from Eleko Junction down to Epe, if you see what the Governor has done about this road, I think you should praise him. He revealed that the abandoned projects within Lagos State and not Epe alone have been pegged for completion.

Oba Animashaun praised the practice of continuity in governance which he said breeds rapid growth for the people and attracts massive investments.

He noted that the ongoing completion of the abandoned Oke-Oyinbo road is strategically based on the socio-economic value of the road to the betterment of the people of Epe.

The Oloja of Epe Land, therefore, prayed for the success of Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Government.

On the strategic significance of the road, Oloja said that all credits must be given to past Lagos State Governors, Lateef Jakande, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu up to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stating that the Epe Masterplan was well crafted and therefore all the developmental projects, both proposed and ongoing, would materialise in due course.

He said the roads were mapped out to serve an array of proposed projects such as the Airport and other ongoing ones such as the Dangote Refinery, Alaro City, Lekki Free Trade Zone, the Fertilizer Factory.

On his part, HRM Oba Dr Shefiu Adewale, Bamgbopa Eshinlokun I, The Olu-Epe of Epe kingdom, praised Governor Sanwo-Olu for the project completion.

Olu-Epe of Epe kingdom noted that Epe needs government intervention this time, stressing that the town is sleepy and thereby needs government presence in terms of infrastructural development to be awakened.

The Olu Epe of Epe, Oba Adewale, therefore, seized the medium harp on the need for sons and daughters of the community to endeavour to maintain a cordial relationship at all times to keep coexisting peacefully, taking a cue from himself and Oloja.

“The relationship is cordial, the two obas are friendly and the people should learn from the relationship of the two Obas and forget about whether you are Eko or Ijebu, what matters most is the peaceful coexistence and improvement of the town.

I am certain that when peaceful coexistence thrives, improvement in our town’s socio-economic and political existence would be engendered.

I am very happy about the state of things now, there is an understanding among the community,” Olu-Epe said.
