Eredo LCDA witnessed another momentous step in its developmental journey today as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, presented the ₦7,969,076,986.23 2026 Budget of Consolidation to the Legislative Arm for consideration and subsequent approval.
Eko Hot Blog reports that presenting the budget before councillors representing various wards, Hon. Akinloye reaffirmed his administration’s determination to build a more prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable Eredo.

He expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve and extended appreciation to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, for their unwavering support through landmark projects within the LCDA.
The Chairman noted that his administration had successfully completed over 90% of its planned projects for the current year, recording major progress in road construction and rehabilitation,
new school buildings, Primary Healthcare Centre upgrades, youth engagement, sports development, and empowerment programmes for women and young people.
According to him, the 2026 budget, themed Catalyst for Change Towards Renewed Hope Agenda, is crafted to further strengthen investments in key sectors, including public services, safety, economic development, environmental management, health, education, and social protection.
He emphasised that achieving these goals will require strict financial discipline, transparency, and prudent utilisation of funds sourced from Internally Generated Revenue, statutory allocations, and development grants.
Responding on behalf of the Legislative Arm, the Leader of the House, Hon. Tunde Bakare Olowo, commended the Chairman for his impressive achievements, particularly in infrastructure, education, health, security, and environmental sanitation.
He also appreciated the provision of a modern legislative building and fully equipped offices for councillors.
Hon. Bakare pledged the complete cooperation of the Legislative Arm, assuring the Chairman that the budget would receive accelerated readings and timely passage in the interest of residents of Eredo LCDA.
In line with legislative protocol, Hon. Akinloye formally handed the financial document to the Clerk of the House, Mr. Bolanle Badmus, who subsequently transmitted it to the Leader of the House for further legislative action.
