The Conference of Community Youth Leaders in Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has ushered in a new era of leadership with the election and inauguration of its new executives.
Ekohotblog reports that the election, held on February 9, 2025, during the 65th meeting of the conference at Poka Base, was attended by youth representatives from various communities who participated in the democratic process.

Com. Ismaila Wahaab Tunde, the pioneer president and youth leader of Ibonwon, emerged as the newly elected president, taking over from Com. Lamina Hammed, the outgoing leader who previously served as the youth leader of Poka.
Addressing the gathering after his victory, Com. Ismaila Wahaab Tunde expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in him and assured the youth community of his dedication to strengthen unity and development.

“This position is not just about leadership but about service. My administration will focus on initiatives that create opportunities for young people, enhance their skills, and promote community engagement.
We will work closely with stakeholders to address pressing issues affecting the youthful in Eredo LCDA,” he said.
Other elected executives include
Com. Tijani Saheed as vice president and youth leader of Odogbonle,
Com. Ismaila Olabo as secretary and youth leader of Odomola,
Com. Adeyemi Adeleke as treasurer and youth leader of Igbooye.
The meeting also marked a leadership transition in Imokun, where Com. Ajayi Ibraheem wast introduced as the new youth leader, succeeding Com. Taye Agbaje.
The outgoing president, Com. Lamina Hammed, while reflecting on his tenure, urged the new executives to remain committed to the vision of youth development.
“Leading this body has been a remarkable experience, and I am proud of what we have achieved together.
I urge the new leadership to remain focused and committed to making a difference. Our communities depend on vibrant and innovative youth leadership,” he stated.
