The application, filed by the deceased’s father, Joseph Aloba, aims to shed more light on the circumstances leading to MohBad’s death.
According to the statement from the law firm representing Joseph Aloba, their research revealed incidents on the Third Mainland Bridge and at the deceased’s residence that were not mentioned by witnesses in the ongoing inquest.
The law firm believes that such information, including the testimonies of key witnesses like Ayobami Fisayo, Boluwatife Adeyemo, and Ibrahim Owodunni, would provide a better understanding of the events leading to MohBad’s death.
The application suggests that the CCTV at the deceased’s residential premises might not have been non-functional, contrary to earlier claims.
It also emphasizes the importance of these witnesses’ testimonies in unraveling the real cause of MohBad’s death.
The coroner court had earlier suspended the ongoing inquest, awaiting the result of the pathologist’s investigation.
The move to call additional witnesses comes as circumstantial evidence is held onto, raising questions about the actual cause of MohBad’s death.
MohBad, a former signee of Marlian Music owned by Naira Marley, passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
