The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved major road and bridge projects across the country at a meeting presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, disclosed the approvals while briefing journalists at the State House in Abuja after the meeting.
Below are the projects approved by the council and their costs:

Ibadan–Ife–Ilesa Road Reconstruction
Reconstruction of a 103 kilometre dual carriageway. The project was re awarded after minimal progress by the previous contractor.
Amount: ₦427 billion -
Kano–Kongolam Road
Review, rescoping and redesign of a 132 kilometre road into a three lane concrete carriageway linking Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states. The project includes solar powered street lights and CCTV installations.
Amount: ₦334 billion -
Keffi–Nasarawa–Abaji Road Phase Two
Rehabilitation of 129.3 kilometres of the road corridor.
Amount: ₦203 billion -
Suleja–Minna Road Completion
Completion of the remaining 71 kilometres of the dual carriageway, with one carriageway already awarded.
Amount: ₦91 billion -
Carter Bridge Project, Lagos
Detailed design, costing and preparation for the demolition of the existing bridge and construction of a new one. The design phase will be handled by Advanced Engineering Consultants.
Amount: ₦5.6 billion -
Abuja–Lokoja Road Reconstruction
Reconstruction of an 86 kilometre affected section of the road, involving multiple contractors, including Julius Berger.
FEC Approves ₦1.2 Trillion Road, Bridge Projects Across Nigeria
Amount: ₦146 billion
The approvals form part of ongoing efforts to improve transport infrastructure and enhance connectivity nationwide.
