The Federal Government has approved billions of naira for various power projects across the country as part of efforts to improve electricity supply and strengthen the national grid.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, disclosed that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved N13 billion for projects in Lagos and Ogun states.

He made the announcement on Wednesday shortly after the FEC meeting, according to BBC Hausa Service.
Adelabu explained that the funds would cover four major approvals, including the payment of compensation to plot owners, which alone accounts for the N13 billion allocation.

He added that the council also endorsed proposals for the procurement of new power transformers to replace ageing infrastructure in the national grid.
The minister said the initiative would provide manufacturers with stable power supply, enhance productivity, drive economic growth, and create jobs.
