Five men accused of the brutal 2022 attack on Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, are now being arraigned.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the suspects, Idris Omeiza, Al-Qasim Idris, Jamiu Abdulmalik, Abdulhaleem Idris, and Momoh Abubakar, face a nine-count terrorism charge in the Federal High Court in Abuja before Justice Obiorah Egwatu.

The attack, which occurred on June 5, 2022, tragically claimed the lives of over 40 people and left many more injured. Three years ago, then-Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, announced that the suspects had been arrested.
According to the National Security Council, the attack was linked to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
