EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the statement, Dagogo Wokoma was appointed as the new Secretary to the State Government, while Sunny Ewule was named the new Chief of Staff. Both appointments take immediate effect.
The statement added that the swearing in ceremony would hold at 2pm at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Wokoma replaces Benibo Anabraba as Secretary to the State Government, while Ewule takes over from Edison Ehie as Chief of Staff.
No official reason was given for the removal of the former office holders.
Ehie’s role had attracted attention in recent months amid the political tension in the state involving the governor and his former political ally, Nyesom Wike, who currently serves as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
The crisis escalated into an impeachment move against Fubara by members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The process was later halted following the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who stepped in to broker peace between the parties.

Subsequently, the Speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule, announced during plenary that the impeachment notice against the governor and his deputy, Ngozi Odu, had been withdrawn.
Before the latest appointments, Fubara had dissolved his cabinet, including eight commissioners, and relieved all Special Advisers of their duties.
