Fubara in Big Trouble as Ex-HoS, Nwaeke Plans to Expose Alleged Misappropriation of Funds

George Nwaeke, former Head of the Rivers State Civil Service, has pledged to provide evidence of alleged public funds theft during the administration of suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara when called upon by security operatives, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Nwaeke made this declaration during a press briefing on Saturday, leveling accusations of mind-boggling misappropriation against Fubara’s administration.

“I cannot also give all my evidence to the media, some are sensitive. I will give details to the proper authorities when required of me.
“The level of stealing of public funds and assets witnessed in the last two years is mind-boggling.
“I have never experienced it in the history of the state as we also had the highest allocation ever within this period,” Nwaeke said.
During a press conference recently, Nwaeke accused Fubara of ordering his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie, to set fire to the Rivers House of Assembly.
He alleged that he was present at the government house when a bag of money was handed to Edison for the operation, though he did not disclose the exact amount.

Governor Fubara has categorically denied these allegations, countering that Nwaeke has been “compromised” and is being “coerced” to spread false information.
