The Gaza Government Media Office reported that on Wednesday, at least 51 people were killed and over 648 others were wounded by Israeli forces near the Zikim crossing point, where aid trucks were entering northern Gaza.
Furthermore, the Nasser Medical Complex reported 20 more fatalities near the Morag Corridor in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis area.
The situation is dire, with over 1,000 Palestinians seeking aid having been killed by Israeli forces near distribution sites run by the US and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) since late May.
Critics argue that the GHF has failed to provide sufficient aid and ensure a secure environment around its distribution sites.
Aid agencies and health officials have called for help to address the increase in starvation, particularly among vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, 154 people, including 89 children, have died from malnutrition, with most of these deaths occurring in recent weeks. A global hunger monitor has warned that a famine scenario is unfolding in Gaza.

The plight of families like Jihan al-Quraan’s is heart-wrenching. Al-Quraan spoke to Al Jazeera about her young daughter’s condition, saying, “Look at her stomach! There’s no flesh, just bones from the lack of food she has gone an entire month without bread.”
She added that she had tried to get food at a crowded soup kitchen but was forced to return empty-handed, finding only some dry pasta shells on the floor.
