The 6th Legislative Chamber of Eredo Local Council Development Area has officially concluded its intensive 3-Day Budget Retreat today, 27th November 2025.
Eko Hot Blog the retreat, which began on the 25th of November and held under the theme “Catalyst for Change Towards the Renewed Hope Agenda,” brought together councillors, principal officers, heads of departments, and key members of the executive arm to shape the financial and developmental direction of the council for the 2025/2026 fiscal year.

Led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Tunde Bakare, the retreat served as a crucial platform for refining budget proposals, aligning sectoral priorities, and deepening synergy between the legislative and executive arms.
Over the three days, participants engaged in rigorous sessions examining sectoral allocations and the needs of various communities across Eredo LCDA.
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, played an active and strategic role throughout the retreat. He provided insight and guidance on critical development focus areas such as infrastructure renewal, primary healthcare strengthening, youth empowerment programmes, educational support systems, environmental sustainability, and community development initiatives.
“This retreat has allowed us to harmonize ideas, strengthen collaboration, and prepare a financial framework that reflects both the Renewed Hope Agenda and the specific aspirations of the people of Eredo LCDA,” Hon. Akinloye stated during the closing session.
Stakeholder consultations were a key element of the retreat, with contributions from department heads, budget analysts, community development experts, and legislative aides enriching the discussions. Capacity-building segments were also included to equip councillors and senior officers with updated knowledge on budget processes, fiscal responsibility, and effective oversight.
The retreat concluded with a renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance. Lawmakers pledged to deliver a people-driven, equitable, and sustainable budget that will accelerate development across all wards and communities within Eredo LCDA.
As the budget moves into the final drafting and approval stages, residents can expect a financial plan that mirrors both local needs and broader national objectives under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
