The Goaso Traditional Council has officially banned Valentine’s Day celebrations in the Goaso traditional area in the Ahafo Region in observance of the one-week memorial for the late Paramount Chief of the Goaso Traditional Council, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Traditional authorities have declared that no celebratory events should take place on February 14, as the community will be focused on solemnly remembering their late chief.

During a press conference shared on social media, the authorities emphasized that anyone caught violating the directive would face serious consequences. “Nananom have placed a ban on Valentine’s Day celebrations. If you wish to celebrate, do so quietly in your room.

We do not want to see people in hotels celebrating.

If you organize a Valentine’s Day party and are caught, you will face severe consequences. We are mourning the loss of our chief.
