Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has signed the ₦427 billion 2025 appropriation bill into law.
The signing ceremony took place on Monday at the Exco Lounge, Governor’s Office, in the presence of cabinet members and representatives of the legislative arm.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Osun State House of Assembly passed the budget after increasing the initial ₦390 billion proposal presented by Governor Adeleke by ₦37 billion.

The 2025 budget, titled the “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation,” focuses on fostering development across the state. Speaking at the signing, Adeleke expressed gratitude to the legislature and his cabinet for their collaborative efforts.
He said, “The budget I am signing today is titled ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation,’ with a total sum of ₦427,746,925,170.00. This demonstrates our readiness to advance the growth and development of our dear state in the New Year.”

The governor directed all Ministries, Agencies, and Departments (MDAs) to actively implement the budget, emphasizing the need for commendable quarterly performance. He also instructed the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development to monitor the process to ensure it meets set targets.
Adeleke assured residents that the budget would be rigorously implemented to fulfill the state’s developmental goals.
