Executive Governor of Nassarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule and his wife, Dr Farida Abdullahi Sule, have erupted media spaces after the couple released charming photos of their 2-month-old twins.

As gathered by EkoHotBlog, the twin babies were born on November 24, 2020, and named 7 days later. The Nassarawa State Governor reportedly named his twin babies after the President, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umar Al-Makura.

The twin boys were named Muhammad (Shamsudeen) and Umar (Faruq), after the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Nasarawa’s former governor as a reflection of the respect and esteem held by the Governor towards his political mentors.

Governor Abdullahi Sule and his heartthrob, Hajiya Farida Salisu Ali tied the nuptial cord on the night before his swearing-in in 2019. The wedding ceremony was held shortly after he was declared the winner of the Nasarawa gubernatorial election.

His wife, Hajiya Farida, who is a medical doctor by training, hails from Katsina State. Their wedding ceremony was held in line with conventional Muslim traditions and was attended by notable public functionaries.

In less than two years in office, Governor Abdullahi Sule has earned plaudits for his giant strides in changing the face of Nassarawa state. Notable amongst his many accomplishments is the completion of a multi-billion naira health facility, which is named  ‘The Nasarawa State Infectious Disease, Diagnosis and Research Centre in Lafia’. It is considered to be one of the signature legacies of the Sule administration in the state.

“We came in at the time that we were just challenged economically because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I remember, the first meeting we had over the pandemic in Abuja, the Minister of Health said that the country has only three testing centres in Lagos, Edo and Abuja. And I felt sad for us in Nasarawa State not to have something like this when the idea behind it has already started” said an elated Governor Sule during the commissioning of the facility.

“We also resolved to improve on the living conditions of our citizenry through the provision of quality healthcare service.  It is for this reason that we have committed enormous resources towards the completion of the research centre” he added.

Other notable achievements of the charismatic governor include the digitation of activities of the Ministry of Justice- case management software, distribution of laptops to all lawyers, installation of v-sat for the ministry of justice, hosting of the meeting of the National Justice Sector Reform Committee under the Chairmanship of the Honourable The Attorney General of the Federation, renovation of the Ministry of Justice Area Office in Keffi, the establishment of new Area Office in Nasarawa Local Government Council, approval of new office for the Ministry of Justice Zonal Directorate located within NAGIS premieres in Mararaba, Furnishing and provision of IT gadgets for the Ministry Headquarters and all Area Offices, amongst other laudable accomplishments.

As the Governor celebrates another feather to his cap in the double-fold blessing of his twin boys, Eko Hot Blog felicitates with a loyal supporter of its media mandate and an outstanding leader whose dedication to changing lives and revamping the socio-political space of his state stands him apart as a beacon of hope at a time exemplary leadership has become something of a rarity.
