A host of top celebrities and Super Eagles players came together at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, for the second edition of the Troost-Ekong Foundation Charity Match, Eko Hot Blog reports
Spearheaded by Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong and graced by Governor Sanwo-Olu, the event featured a star-studded lineup of footballers, entertainers, and influencers, including Victor Osimhen, AY Makun, Broda Shaggi, and Obafemi Martins.

With the theme #PlayForPurpose, the charity match aimed to generate support and raise awareness for disadvantaged children, showcasing how football can be a force for good.
“Speaking after the match, Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the organisers for a successful event and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting worthy causes.”
“I’m here to support our Super Eagles captain. This is a noble cause, and my government will always encourage such initiatives,” he said.
Troost-Ekong expressed his desire to use football as a platform to inspire and empower underprivileged children to reach their full potential.
“Football has changed our lives, and it can change theirs too. We support them in two ways , through education and football development,” Troost-Ekong added.
