EKO HOT BLOG reports that the mop-up exam is set to take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
According to JAMB, the affected candidates include 5,096 spill-over candidates who were not able to sit for the main exam due to technical or administrative issues, as well as candidates who failed biometric verification during the main exercise.
The board further stated that 91,742 candidates who were absent from either or both the main and rescheduled examinations will also be allowed to participate in the mop-up test. JAMB noted that this special opportunity is part of a one-time dispensation for the 2025 UTME candidates.
“All affected candidates are required to start printing their notification slips from Monday, June 23, 2025,” the board instructed.

“Saturday, June 28, has been approved for the conduct of the 2025 UTME mop-up examination. This examination will accommodate the 5,096 spill-over candidates and those who failed biometric verification during the main exercise. Also, due to the special dispensation granted to absentee candidates of the main and resit examinations, 91,742 candidates who were absent in both or either of the main and resit examinations will be given this opportunity, which is strictly for the 2025 UTME,” the statement read.
JAMB added that other affected candidates are currently on standby pending further verification and arrangements.
