Governors Give Fresh Update On Palliatives For Nigerians, Set To Meet Buhari
The Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) has assured that States COVID-19 Task Forces would work closely with their Palliatives Implementation Committees on the distribution of palliatives to Nigerians.
This was disclosed in a communique by the Chairman and Ekiti Governor, Kayode Fayemi, after NGF 14th teleconference meeting.
The Governor said the forum received updates on palliatives sharing from business mogul, Aliko Dangote on behalf of the Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID).
The body announced N23billion worth palliative targeting 10 million Nigerians on Thursday 6th of August.
The communique explained that the flag-off started on 4th of August in Borno, Edo, Enugu and Kano States.

He also said the launch would hold daily across one state each in the six geopolitical zones until August 11, when it would be concluded in all 36 states.
The forum pledged to provide appropriate health and security measures for the 2019 Annual Performance Assessment of States (SFTAS) programme expected to start from Sunday.
The NGF Secretariat will provide Technical Assistance to the remaining five states yet to publish their Audited Financial Statement (AFS),” it said.
