Beyoncé clinched the Grammy for Album of the Year on Sunday with her groundbreaking album “Cowboy Carter”, while rapper Kendrick Lamar dominated the night with a clean sweep.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the ceremony, which paid tribute to fire-ravaged Los Angeles, saw Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doechii, and Sabrina Carpenter among the top winners, while Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish left empty-handed.

This victory marks a historic milestone for Beyoncé, making her the most nominated and most awarded artist in Grammy history, as well as the first Black woman to win the prestigious Album of the Year award this century.
Her ambitious album, “Cowboy Carter”, is a celebration of Black artists’ contributions to country music, a genre that has often overlooked their influence.
Beyoncé dedicated her win to Linda Martell, a pioneering Black country artist featured on the album.

In her emotional acceptance speech, Beyoncé said, “I just feel very full and very honored,” as she was cheered on by her husband, Jay-Z, and daughter, Blue Ivy. She added, “I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors.”
The win brought Beyoncé a total of three Grammys that night, also earning honors for her collaboration with Miley Cyrus and Best Country Album. “I really was not expecting this,” she said as she accepted the country award, her voice shaking with emotion. “Sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists.”
