- Hon. Bayo Balogun supports five Ibeju-Lekki students in LASU Sandwich Programme.
- Early exam schedule prompted urgent financial intervention.
- Support praised as a commitment to inclusive community development.
In a demonstration of his commitment to education and youth development, Hon. Prince Bayo Balogun, Member of the House of Representatives (MHR) representing Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency, has provided financial support to five indigenous students of Ibeju-Lekki enrolled in the Lagos State University (LASU) Sandwich Degree Programme at the Epe Campus.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the intervention was facilitated by Youth Ambassador and community leader, Amb. SMASE Provost Ibraheem Ogunbanwo, who personally encouraged and assisted the beneficiaries in securing admission into the institution.

The students include two in Module 5 (final year), two in Module 4, and one in Module 1.
According to Amb. Ogunbanwo, the support became necessary after LASU unexpectedly rescheduled its examinations to commence earlier than September, disrupting the students’ payment plans and financial arrangements.
“By privilege, I presented this matter directly to our Honourable Member of the House of Representatives, whose passion for education is second to none,” he said.
“He immediately showed concern and, as a true leader, committed to supporting these students without personally knowing any of them.”
The gesture was praised for reflecting Hon. Balogun’s dedication to the progress of all in Ibeju-Lekki, not just a select few.
It comes as LASU staff are set to end their industrial action, with the Vice Chancellor confirming that some of their demands have been met and exams will commence this week.
Amb. Ogunbanwo expressed gratitude to Hon. Balogun for his trust and swift action, pledging to continue prioritising the collective good of the community.
He also urged his peers to remain truthful and place communal interests above personal gain.
