Hon. Surah Animashaun Invests Over N30 Million in Epe Farmers – Alhaja Shabi Aminat

The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has invested over N30 million in supporting farmers in Epe, a move that has significantly impacted food production and pricing in the community.
Ekohotblog reports that this was disclosed by Alhaja Shabi Aminat, a prominent farmer in Epe, during an inspection tour of various projects initiated by the chairman over the past four years.

The inspection was led by the vice chairman and the legislative aims of Epe Local Government.
According to Alhaja Shabi, the intervention has benefited several farmers including, crop farmers, fishers, and other agricultural stakeholders, leading to a noticeable reduction in food prices across Epe.
“Hon. Surah has been very supportive of farmers in Epe. She has invested over N30 million in different agricultural projects, ensuring that farmers have access to resources that improve their productivity.
Because of her intervention, food prices in Epe are coming down,” she stated.
She also commended the chairman for her swift response to water hazards affecting fish farming in the area, which has resulted in massive losses for fish farmers.
“One of the biggest challenges we face is water hazards, which often kill our fishes. The chairman has been proactive in addressing this issue.
She is working on acquiring instruments that will generate oxygen for the fishes whenever there is a water hazard.

She also plans to demarcate the water from the ponds to minimize the impact,” Alhaja Shabi added.
Farmers in Epe have lauded Hon. Surah Animashaun for her commitment to agricultural development, stressing that her administration’s efforts have significantly boosted food security and economic growth in the community.
